With SILK RADICAL!, our studio explores a new relationship with one of the world’s oldest textiles: silk. We’ve taken the collection’s name from 纟, the character radical for silk that’s used in nearly a thousand Chinese words due to its deep historical significance.
SILK RADICAL! is our response to silk as a material and a treasured cultural symbol. We source silks in groovy hues and spin them into accessories that make the everyday feel extravagant. They’re fancy but they’re also fun. Here’s our proposal: a fresh way to wear silk. Radical.
Bag
The SILK RADICAL! Bag is made with raw silk that has both sheen and grain, and lined with interface so it always keeps its compact and structured shape. Each bag is fully reversible, coming in two contrast colours: one bright and one subtle. We’ve modeled it on a classic handbag form so it can be carried on your shoulder, hooked inside your elbow, or toted by hand.
